"We're going to keep all that stuff between (GM) Lou (Lamoriello) and I, as we always have. I've said all along I love playing here," Parise said. "I've always appreciated everything that this organization has done for me. My feelings have never changed."
Asked several times whether he'd consider playing for the Rangers, Parise quickly replied "No."
If Parise hits the open market as the most coveted free agent this summer, the frontrunners are expected to be the Detroit Red Wings and Minnesota Wild, who are likely to make a strong pitch for the goal-scorer.
Though Lamoriello refused to comment on the situation, he has always made it clear that the team's priority was to keep their captain in Jersey.
Parise is expected to seek the advice of his agent Wade Arnott, who has yet to begin negotiations with management, while his teammates are all hoping to see him return.
