Devils acquire Skoula from Leafs

The New Jersey Devils have acquired defenseman Martin Skoula from the Toronto Maple Leafs for a 2010 fifth-round draft pick.
Skoula, 30, was acquired by the Leafs yesterday along with forward Luca Caputi from the Pittsburgh Penguins. He picked up three goals and five assists for eight points in 33 games with the Penguins this season.
In 757 career NHL games with Colorado, Anaheim, Dallas, Minnesota and Pittsburgh, Skoula has accumulated 44 goals and 149 assists for 193 points. He was originally drafted 17th overall by the Avalanche in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft.
