Devils undecided about Brylin

TheFourthPeriod.com

Devils GM Lou Lamoriello has yet to make a decision about forward Sergei Brylin's future in New Jersey.

The Devils have a one-year, $1.52 million option on the 34-year-old and it's believed the two sides are negotiating a long-term extension.

If a new deal cannot be reached, the team can exercise its option or Brylin can use his one-year player option worth the same amount.

Meanwhile, the Devils are expected to go after a top-six forward and a top-four defenseman on the free agent market.

Chances are Brylin will be back with the team next season, but the Devils could have a few new faces come training camp. New Jersey is expected to try and land a goal-scoring winger this summer and a two-way defenseman.
