Devils acquire Salvador from Blues TheFourthPeriod.com
The New Jersey Devils have acquired defenseman Bryce Salvador from the St. Louis Blues for right wing Cam Janssen.
"In Bryce Salvador, we have acquired a veteran NHL defenseman with good size and strength who plays a physical game," said Devils GM Lou Lamoriello. "We look forward to the depth Bryce will bring to our roster."
Salvador, 32, has one goal and ten assists for 11 points and 43 penalty minutes in 56 games this season.
The native of Brandon, Man. has career totals of 16 goals and 47 assists for 63 points and 413 penalty minutes in 447 games, all with St. Louis.
Janssen, 23, is in his third NHL season, and fourth season as a pro. He saw action in three games with the AHL's Lowell Devils this season.
