According to The Bergen Record, the Devils have looking to upgrade their defensive core and the center position.
Various reports suggest the team is interested in such players as Los Angeles' Rob Blake, Buffalo's Brian Campbell, and Tampa Bay's Dan Boyle and Vaclav Prospal.
The Record reports the Devils have around $3.6 million in salary cap room, which is enough to acquire both a solid defenseman and center.
Blake, according to the Los Angeles Times, is expected to meet with Kings GM Dean Lombardi later today to discuss his future.
