Report: Fehr accepts job as NHLPA Executive Director
TheFourthPeriod.com

Former MLBPA Executive Director Don Fehr has accepted the job of NHLPA Executive Director, the Sports Business Journal reported on its website Wednesday evening.

Citing multiple sources, the SBJ claims other candidates have been informed they are no longer in the running for the position.

The SBJ also reports the search committee's decision to recommend Fehr still has to be approved by the entire board of player reps.

Fehr, 62, was Executive Director of the MLBPA from 1986-2009. On Jun. 22, 2009, Fehr resigned from his post with the MLBPA and shortly after jumped on as an advisor to the NHLPA.
