Preds acquire Fiddler from Devils

The Nashville Predators have acquired forward Vernon Fiddler from the New Jersey Devils in exchange for a 2017 fourth-round draft pick.

In 39 games with the Devils this season, Fiddler registered one goal, two assists and 29 penalty minutes.

Fiddler, 36, has appeared in 857 NHL games over parts of 14 seasons with Nashville, Phoenix (Arizona), Dallas and New Jersey, and has recorded 103 goals and 157 assists for 260 points.

The Edmonton, Alberta, native originally signed by Nashville in 2002 as an undrafted free agent.
