Spaling signs deal with Predators
TheFourthPeriod.com

The Nashville Predators have signed restricted free agent forward Nick Spaling to a one-year, $1.5 million deal.

Spaling, 24, had filed for salary arbitration, but that will now be avoided.

Last season, Spaling scored nine goals and added four assists for 13 points in 47 games.

In 226 career NHL regular-season games, all with Nashville, Spaling has accumulated 27 goals and 25 assists for 52 points.

He was originally drafted by the Predators in the second-round (58th overall) of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
