Predators sign Stalberg, Cullen and Hendricks

The Nashville Predators have signed unrestricted free agent forward Viktor Stalberg to a four-year, $12 million contract, and center Matt Cullen to a two-year, $7 million deal.

The Predators have also signed left wing Matt Hendricks to a four-year, $7.4 million contract.

Stalberg, 27, registered nine goals and 14 assists for 23 points in 47 games with the Chicago Blackhawks this past season.

The native of Gothenburg, Sweden, has played in 243 career NHL regular-season games with the Toronto Maple Leafs and Blackhawks, and has accumulated 52 goals and 52 assists for 104 points.

Stalberg was originally drafted by the Leafs in the sixth-round (161st overall) of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.

Cullen, 36, registered seven goals and 20 assists for 27 points in 42 games with the Minnesota Wild last season.

The antive of Virginia, Minnesota, has played in 1,073 career NHL regular-season games with the Anaheim Ducks, Florida Panthers, Carolina Hurricanes, New York Rangers, Ottawa Senators, and Wild, and has accumulated 202 goals and 360 assists for 562 points.

Cullen was originally drafted by Anaheim in the second-round (35th overall) of the 1996 NHL Entry Draft.

Hendricks, 32, tallied five goals, three assists and 73 penalty minutes in 48 games with the Washington Capitals last season.

In 263 career NHL regular-season games, Hendricks has accumulated 27 goals and 31 assists for 58 points and 365 penalty minutes.

Hendricks was originally drafted by the Predators in the fifth-round (131st overall) in 2000.
