Predators GM David Poile believes Suter will cycle back with the team after he fields offers from other teams starting July 1.
"Ryan is going to have a look on July 1, and based from talking with him, I'm sure he's going to come back to us," Poile told the Tennessean. "I'm not going to say if it's July 1, or July 2, he's going to come back to us. We're going to talk about what's out there and how that compares with the situation in Nashville."
As for Gaustad, the two sides have been negotiating, but it seems as if the veteran could sign elsewhere next week.
"It would appear he's going to free agency, but I'm holding out hope he might change his mind," Poile said. "The discussions have been very positive about Nashville and where he fits in and his role and his comfort here."
