Predators, Ellis sign multi-year deal TheFourthPeriod.com
The Nashville Predators have agreed to terms on a multi-year contract with goaltender Dan Ellis.
"I'm really excited to be able to come back with Nashville," Ellis said. "It's where my wife and I really wanted to be all along. We enjoyed it last year and feel the team is moving in the right direction, too. As a team we were pretty close to being right there last season and I'm confident we'll be improved next season."
Ellis, who turned 28 yesterday, led the NHL in save percentage (.924) and establishing a franchise record in shutouts (6) in his first full season with Nashville in 2007-08.
A Newmarket, Ont., native, Ellis originally signed as a free agent with Nashville last July.
