Gorges on trade block?

The Montreal Canadiens appear to be entertaining offers for veteran defenseman Josh Gorges, according to reports.

TSN Hockey Insider Bob McKenzie first broke the news that Gorges' names has been involved in trade discussions.

According to McKenzie, the Toronto Maple Leafs were among the teams to have pitched an offer for Gorges, but the Leafs, along with the other five Canadian teams, are on Gorges' no-trade list.

Gorges registered one goal and 13 assists for 14 points in 66 games with the Canadiens this past season.

In 560 career NHL regular-season games with the San Jose Sharks and Habs, Gorges has accumulated 14 goals and 84 assists for 98 points.
