Pacioretty signs in Switzerland
TheFourthPeriod.com

Montreal Canadiens left wing Max Pacioretty will be playing in Switzerland during the NHL lockout, having signed on with HC Ambri-Piotta of the Swiss National A League.

Pacioretty joins 12 other NHLers in Switzerland, including the likes of Logan Couture, Tyler Seguin, Rick Nash, and teammates Raphael Diaz and Yannick Weber.

HC Ambri-Piotta originally announced that they would not sign any NHL players during the lockout, but ultimately decided in favor of it, given the influx of stars entering their league.

Pacioretty, 23, registered 33 goals and 32 assists for 65 points in 79 games with the Habs last season.

The native of New Canaan, CT, will return to Montreal once the lockout ends, providing the NHL regular-season is not cancelled.
