Clock ticking down on Gauthier
TheFourthPeriod.com

Chicago Blackhawks assistant GM Marc Bergevin is the leading candidate to take over Montreal Canadiens GM Pierre Gauthier's position following a disappointing season, the Ottawa Sun reports.

Gauthier has been rumored for several months to be dismissed at the end of the season while a few candidates have been speculated as potential replacement.

Tampa Bay Lightning assistant GM Julien Brisebois and Toronto Maple Leafs assistant GM Claude Loiselle are also being considered to take the helm of the Habs for the 2012-13 season.

Meanwhile, former Canadiens netminder Patrick Roy and Winnipeg Jets assistant coach Pascal Vincent are likely to be leading candidates to stand behind the bench.
