In 1,047 career NHL games with Boston, Toronto, Pittsburgh and Montreal, Gill has accumulated 36 goals and 143 assists for 179 points, and 940 penalty minutes.
Gill was originally drafted by the Bruins in the eighth-round (207th overall) of the 1993 NHL Entry Draft.
Geoffrion, 24, registered three assists and 17 penalty minutes in 22 games with the Predators this season.
Born in Plantation, Florida, Geoffrion was originally drafted by the Predators in the second-round (56th overall) of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
Geoffrion's grandfather Bernie (Boom Boom) and great grandfather Howie Morenz are Hall of Fame NHL stars, playing with the Canadiens. His father, Danny, also played for the Habs.
