The Montreal Canadiens have traded left wing Guillaume Latendresse to the Minnesota Wild in exchange for forward Benoit Pouliot.

Latendresse, 22, has registered just two goals and one assist in 23 games with the Habs this season.

In 232 career NHL games with the Canadiens over four seasons, Latendresse has accumulated 48 goals and 37 assists for 85 points.

Pouliot, 23, has tallied two goals and two assists for four points in 14 games with the Wild this season.

In 65 career games with the Wild, Pouliot has picked up nine goals and nine assists for 18 points.

Latendresse was originally drafted by the Habs in the second-round, 45th overall, in 2005, while Pouliot was selected fourth-overall by the Wild in that same draft year.
