The Montreal Canadiens have re-signed restricted free agent center Kyle Chipchura to a one-year contract.

Last season, the 23-year-old registered three assists, five penalty minutes and five shots on goal in 13 regular-season games with the Canadiens.

Chipchura, a native of Westlock, Alberta, was selected by the Canadiens in the first round, 18th overall, in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
