The Montreal Canadiens have signed unrestricted free agent forward Tom Kostopoulos to a two-year, $1.8 million contract.
Kostopoulos, 28, notched seven goals, 15 assists and 73 penalty minutes in 76 games while playing for the Los Angeles Kings last season.
In 231 career NHL games with Pittsburgh and the Kings, Kostoloulos has accumulated 25 goals and 45 assists for 70 points, along with 249 penalty minutes.
He was originally drafted by the Penguins in the seventh-round (204th overall) of the 1999 NHL Entry Draft.
