Kings acquire Gaborik from Columbus
TheFourthPeriod.com

The Los Angeles Kings have acquired sniper Marian Gaborik from the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for forward Matt Frattin, a 2014 second-round draft pick and a 2014 conditional third-round draft pick.

The Blue Jackets will be paying a portion of Gaborik's contract.

Gaborik, 32, has played in just 22 games with the Blue Jackets this season, due to injuries, and has registered six goals and eight assists for 14 points.

In 791 career NHL regular-season games with the Minnesota Wild, New York Rangers and Blue Jackets, Gaborik has accumulated 342 goals and 346 assists for 688 points.

He was originally drafted third-overall by the Wild in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft.
