Kings acquire Carcillo from Blackhawks

The Los Angeles Kings have acquired forward Daniel Carcillo from the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for a conditional pick in the 2015 NHL Draft.

Carcillo, 28, has spent the last two seasons with the Blackhawks. In 23 games last season, he tallied two goals, one assist and 11 penalty minutes.

The native of King City, Ontario has appeared in 333 regular-season NHL games with the Phoenix Coyotes, Philadelphia Flyers and Blackhawks, and has accumulated 40 goals and 47 assists for 87 points, along with 1,079 penalty minutes.

He led the NHL in penalty minutes in 2007-08 (324 PIM) and 2008-09 (254).

Carcillo was originally selected by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the third round (73rd overall) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
