King signs two-year deal

The Los Angeles Kings have re-signed restricted free agent forward Dwight King to a two-year contract.

King, 23, collected five goals and nine assists for 14 points, along with 10 penalty minutes and a plus-3 rating, in 27 regular-season games this past season.

During the Kings' 2012 run to the Stanley Cup championship, King collected five goals, eight points, 13 penalty minutes and a plus-3 rating.

Originally selected by the Kings in the fourth-round (109th overall) of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft, King has accumulated five goals, nine assists, 12 penalty minutes and a plus-1 rating in 33 career NHL regular season games.
