Unrestricted free agent left wing Kyle Calder could be inching closer to finding a new home for the 2009-10 NHL regular-season.
Calder, 30, spent the last two seasons with the Los Angeles Kings. In 2008-09, he registered eight goals and 19 assists for 27 points in 74 games.
The native of Mannville, Alberta made $2.7 million last season.
Calder's agent, Brad Devine, confirmed to TFP that a number of teams have inquired about his client.
While Calder is expected to see his salary drop for the 2009-10 campaign, a deal could be coming in the near future.
In 576 career NHL games with the Chicago Blackhawks and Kings, Calder has accumulated 114 goals, 178 assists and 301 penalty minutes.
