TheFourthPeriod.com

TFP Editor-in-Chief David Pagnotta has confirmed that the Los Angeles Kings have agreed to terms with defenseman Rob Scuderi on a multi-year contract.

The deal is for 4-years, at $3.4 million per season.

Scuderi, 30, had received several offers, but ultimately chose to join the Kings.

In 81 games with the Pittsburgh Penguins last season, Scuderi scored one goal and added 15 assists for 16 points to go along with a plus-23 rating.

Scuderi has played in 300 career NHL games, all with the Penguins, and has accumulated three goals, 36 assists, 39 points and 112 penalty minutes.

He was originally drafted by the Penguins in the fifth-round (134th overall) of the 1998 Entry Draft.
