O'Sullivan could be leaving Kings TheFourthPeriod.com
Los Angeles Kings restricted free agent Patrick O'Sullivan could receive a lot of attention once the open market hits noon ET tomorrow.
O'Sullivan registered 22 goals and 31 assists for 53 points in 82 games with the Kings last season.
While much attention has been put on such RFAs as Florida's Jay Bouwmeester and Anaheim's Corey Perry, O'Sullivan could be one of the most attractive players available.
"He could be the most sought-after Group II guy, because all the other [RFAs] are working on deals [with their respective teams]," O'Sullivan's agent, Mark Guy, told TFP."
Teams have been allowed to speak to another club's restricted free agents since June 25, but no offer sheets can be signed until noon ET on July 1.
Guy added that O'Sullivan is "a guy other teams have expressed interest" in.
The Kings haven't pitched an offer to keep the 23-year-old as of earlier this afternoon, but Guy indicated that, "We expect to hear from them today."
O'Sullivan had a fantastic season and is on the verge of showing the Kings what he's truly made of. But, by the sounds of things, another team might swoop in and try to take Sully away from Los Angeles. We should know more in the next 18 hours... the free agent frenzy is about to begin!
