Kings trade Stuart, Aubin

  The Los Angeles Kings have traded defenseman Brad Stuart to the Detroit Red Wings in exchange for a 2008 second-round draft pick and a 2009 fourth-round selection.

The Kings then traded goalie Jean-Sebastien Aubin to the Anaheim Ducks for a 2008 seventh-round pick. This was the first trade the Kings and Ducks completed in their 14-year cross-town rivalry.

Stuart, 28, played in 63 games with the Kings this season and had five goals, 16 assists and 67 penalty minutes.

   
The native of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, has played in 570 career regular season NHL games with the Kings, Calgary Flames, Boston Bruins and San Jose Sharks, and has recorded 58 goals, 169 assists and 370 penalty minutes.

Aubin, 30, played in 19 games with the Kings this season, and had a record of 5-6-1, a goals-against-average of 3.19 and a save-percentage of .886.

The native of Montreal, Quebec, has played in 218 career regular season NHL games with the Kings, Toronto Maple Leafs and Pittsburgh Penguins, and has a record of 80-83-16 with seven shutouts, a goals-against average of 2.93 and a save-percentage of .900.
