The Florida Panthers have fired Director of Hockey Operations Mike Dixon and Assistant Coach John Madden.

The move comes in advance of the team's upcoming managerial restructuring announcement, where Dale Tallon will become the team's President of Hockey Operations and Tom Rowe will be promoted to General Manager.

In addition, Eric Joyce and Steve Werier are being promoted to assistant general managers.

The changes are expected to be announced on Monday.

Madden, a three-time Stanley Cup champion as a player, first joined the organization as a coach in 2013.

Dixon had been part of the Panthers organization for 11 years, rising up from manager of team travel.
