The Florida Panthers have re-signed restricted free agent defenseman Dmitry Kulikov to a three-year, $13 million contract.

Kulikov, 23, appeared in a career high 81 games for Florida last season, registering eight goals and 11 assists for 19 points.

"Dmitry is a young, talented and mobile defenseman with tremendous ability who we are pleased to have signed," said Panthers GM Dale Tallon. "He will be counted upon to be an integral part of our defense for the next several seasons."

Kulikov played in his 300th career NHL game on March 18 against the San Jose Sharks and scored his first career shorthanded goal on March 31 against the New Jersey Devils.

During his NHL career, Kulikov has appeared in 313 games, all with Florida, scoring 24 goals with 75 assists and 201 penalty minutes.

The Lipetsk, Russia native was drafted by Florida in the first round (14th overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
