Horachek may not return as coach
TheFourthPeriod.com

The Florida Panthers may be going in a different direction behind the bench, which could mean interim head coach Peter Horachek is on the outs.

During Thursday night's Insider Trading segment on TSN, Darren Dreger reported that Panthers GM Dale Tallon will be discussing Horachek's future with ownership in early-May.

According to Dreger, the Panthers may be interested in going forward with a more-experience head coach and could target someone like Randy Carlyle, if he's fired by the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Horachek joined the Panthers as their interim bench boss on Nov. 8, 2013 after the team fired coach Kevin Dineen.

Prior to joining Florida, Horachek spent nine seasons as an assistant with the Nashville Predators.
