It's believed forwards Marcel Goc, Scottie Upshall, Tomas Fleischmann and Shawn Matthias, and defenseman Dmitry Kulikov and Brian Campbell could be had for the right price.
Goc, along with Boyes and Gilbert, can become an unrestricted free agent July 1, while Kulikov is a pending restricted free agent.
Campbell, Upshall and Fleischmann, meanwhile, have limited no-trade clauses.
Boyes and Gilbert share the team lead with 24 points apiece -- Boyes leads the club in goals (14) and Gilbert leads the team in assists (22) -- and have extremely affordable contracts (Boyes, $1 million; Gilbert, $900,000).
Both Boyes and Gilbert are expected to be moved by the March 5 trade deadline.
The Detroit Red Wings are believed to be interested in both players, while the Phoenix Coyotes, Boston Bruins and Carolina Hurricanes are eyeing Boyes, and the Tampa Bay Lightning and Colorado Avalanche might have interest in Gilbert.
Campbell, given his contract and high salary cap number, is unlikely to be moved, but the Panthers have been dangling Fleischmann since last season.
