Panthers, Oilers make 4-player swap

The Florida Panthers have traded center Steve Pinizzotto and winger Jack Combs to the Edmonton Oilers in exchange for center Ryan Martindale and winger Derek Nesbitt.

Pinizzotto, 29, has recorded six goals, on assist and 67 penalty minutes in 21 games this season with the American Hockey League's San Antonio Rampage.

Combs, 25, has spent time with the Florida Panthers organization over the past two seasons, posting 12 goals and nine assists for 21 points and 20 penalty minutes in 37 games with the Rampage.

Martindale, 22, has played in 22 games for the Oklahoma City Barons this season, posting three goals and seven assists for 10 points.

The Oshawa, Ontario, native was drafted in the third round (61st overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.

Newsbitt, 31, collected 10 goals and nine assists for 19 points in 38 games with the AHL's Oklahoma City Barons.
