Panthers trying to make trades
TheFourthPeriod.com

The Florida Panthers appear to have the "for sale" sign up on many of their players, the Ottawa Sun reports, and deals could be coming down the pike.

According to the Sun, Panthers GM Dale Tallon is willing to move just about any of his veteran players, but won't trade his young stars.

The likes of Kris Versteeg, Tomas Fleischmann, Dmitry Kulikov, Scottie Upshall, Shawn Matthias and Marcel Goc are available, as are the recently signed Brad Boyes and Tom Gilbert.

The Sun suggests veteran goalie Tim Thomas could also be traded at some point this season.

Versteeg, Boyes, Fleischmann and Kulikov are the team's biggest tradable assets.

Fleischmann leads the team in scoring with eight points in nine games, Boyes has four goals so far, and Versteeg has four points.

A number of teams have shown interest in Kulikov in the past. The 22-year-old is in the first-year of a two-year, $5 million contract.

Fleischmann and Upshall have limited no-movement clauses and may have to approve any deal the Panthers try to make.
