Florida Panthers restricted free agent defenseman Dmitry Kulikov is being courted by Lokomotiv Yaroslavl of the KHL.
Kulikov, 21, is in need of a new contract with the Panthers, but cannot sign one until a new Collective Bargaining Agreement between the NHL and the NHLPA is reached.
Lokomotiv has already brought on Colorado Avalanche goaltender Semyon Varlamov and is also trying to sign Columbus Blue Jackets forward Artem Anisimov.
If Lokomotiv is successful in signing all three players, they will have used up their allotment of three NHL locked out players per KHL roster.
In 58 games with the Panthers last season, Kulikov registered four goals and 24 assists for 28 points.
