Vokoun unconcerned over trade talk

Panthers veteran goalie Tomas Vokoun doesn't seem overly concerned with all the trade talk surrounding him, the Miami Herald reports.

Vokoun, who has one-year left on his contract beyond this season, has been the subject of many trade rumors lately, with the Chicago Blackhawks, Washington Capitals and Philadelphia Flyers reportedly interested in his services.

Vokoun, however, has a no-trade clause and as of Tuesday afternoon, was not approached by Panthers management about waiving it.

"It's a little bit uncertain, but I can't worry about it," Vokoun told the Herald. "Right now, all I know about it is rumors."

Vokoun spoke with Panthers GM Randy Sexton yesterday and appears open to waiving his no-trade clause if the right situation presented itself. He has not supplied the team with a list of teams he'd accept a trade to.

"We agreed we wouldn't make public any of the details," Vokoun said. "It's more like, if there's a deal in place, he'll let me know. Ultimately it's my decision, yes or no."

Meanwhile, the Panthers are also drawing interest for some of their other players, such as Dennis Seidenberg, Cory Stillman, Steven Reinprecht and Nathan Horton. The team has also been actively shopping Rostislav Olesz.
