Eberle hearing the trade rumors
TheFourthPeriod.com

Jordan Eberle's name has been popping up in trade rumors more and more these days, and the young Oilers star is fully aware of it.

Eberle, who is locked into a long-term contract, has attracted the interest of several teams, prompting speculation that a deal could be on the horizon.

"It's part of the game," Eberle told the Edmonton Sun. "There are certain things that you read or you see on TSN or Twitter. It's such a social-media world now, that some guy in his basement starts a rumor and everyone is talking about it.

"You have to deal with that stuff. I'd love to be an Edmonton Oiler forever and try to turn this thing around. But all I can focus on is trying to focus on my next game and our next win."

According to the Sun, the Philadelphia Flyers inquired about Eberle's availability earlier this month.

The Oilers are looking to shakeup their roster, and many believe there is a good chance Eberle or right wing Nail Yakupov could be traded by the March 5 trade deadline or during the off-season.
