Omark finished with Edmonton
TheFourthPeriod.com

Linus Omark's tenure with the Edmonton Oilers organization is coming to an end, as the club is trying to trade the young winger.

Omark, 26, has struggled to crack the Oilers' roster, full time, and has since asked to be traded, according to a Swedish paper.

Omark has performed well in the AHL, picking up 14 goals and 15 assists for 29 points in 29 games for the Oklahoma City Barons so far this season.

Oilers GM Craig MacTavish has been trying to move Omark, who hopes a deal can be completed for the NHL's holiday roster freeze kicks in on Dec. 19.

The Oilers are looking to upgrade their blueline, but unless a larger deal is consummated, Omark will likely be moved for a draft pick.

Omark was originally drafted by the Oilers in the fourth-round (97th overall) of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
