Oilers sign Ference, Gordon

The Edmonton Oilers have signed unrestricted free agent defenseman Andrew Ference to a four-year, $13 million contract.

Ference will earn an average of $3.25 million per season on his new deal.

The Oilers have also signed unrestricted free agent center Boyd Gordon to a three-year contract.

Gordon, 29, collected four goals and 10 assists for 14 points in 48 games with the Phoenix Coyotes this past season.

Ference, 34, registered four goals, nine assists and 35 penalty minutes in 48 games with the Boston Bruins this past season.
