Oilers re-sign Cogliano to 1-year deal

The Edmonton Oilers have agreed to terms with restricted free agent center Andrew Cogliano on a one-year, $1 million contract.

Cogliano, 23, finished last season appearing in all 82 games collecting 10 goals, 18 assists and 31 penalty minutes. The Toronto native has played in 246 career NHL games and has accumulated 46 goals and 65 assists for 111 points, along with 73 penalty minutes.

Cogliano, who has not missed a game in the NHL to date, was originally drafted in the 1st round, 25th overall, by the Oilers in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
