The Edmonton Oilers have signed restricted free agent forward Sam Gagner to a two-year, $4.55 million contract, avoiding arbitration.

Gagner, 20, scored 15 goals and added 26 assists for 41 points in 68 games with the Oilers last season.

In 223 career games with the Oilers, Gagner has accumulated 44 goals and 43 assists for 87 points. He was originally drafted sixth-overall by Edmonton in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
