The Edmonton Oilers have re-signed restricted free agent defenseman Denis Grebeshkov to a one-year, $3.15 million contract, avoiding arbitration.
Grebeshkov, 25, tallied seven goals and 32 assists for 39 points in 72 games with the Oilers last season.
He has played in 176 career NHL games with Los Angeles, the New York Rangers and Oilers, and has accumulated 10 goals and 53 assists, as well as 80 penalty minutes. He was originally drafted 18th overall by the Kings in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.
