DeKeyser agrees to terms with Wings
TheFourthPeriod.com

Western Michigan Broncos defenseman Dan DeKeyser has agreed to terms with the Detroit Red Wings, choosing them over several other NHL teams.

DeKeyser, who signed a two-year contract with the Wings, became an unrestricted free agent last weekend when his tenure with the Broncos ended.

Several teams, including the Philadelphia Flyers, Edmonton Oilers, Anaheim Ducks, Calgary Flames and Tampa Bay Lightning, were trying to sign DeKeyser.

DeKeyser, 23, is expected to join the Red Wings right away and could make his NHL debut as early as Sunday against the Chicago Blackhawks or Monday against the Colorado Avalanche.

In 35 games with the Broncos this season, DeKeyser registered two goals and 13 assists for 15 points, and 22 penalty minutes.
