Currently on hiatus from playing with EV Zug of the Swiss National A League during a league-wide break, Zetterberg took in the World Floorball Championships and spoke to Swiss media outlet unihockey.ch about where he'll end up in the near future -- back playing for Zug, or returning to Detroit.
"That's a tough question," he said. "I'm trying to answer it in different ways, every time. It's tough to do. We don't really know. I think we're now in this really critical stage of negotiations, and the next two or three weeks is gonna be really important. We'll see."
Members of the NHL and NHLPA are expected to speak on Friday, but it's unclear when they'll get back to formal negotiations.
In 17 games with Zug, Zetterberg has collected 12 goals and 16 assists for 28 points.
