Datsyuk weighing his options

Detroit Red Wings star forward Pavel Datsyuk will take his time before deciding what he'll end up doing in the event of an NHL lockout.

Datsyuk, who is currently practicing with the KHL's Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg, could end up playing in Russia if a lockout occurs.

"If there's a lockout, then we can talk about (where I'll play)," Datsyuk told "It's too early to say anything."

Datsyuk indicated that he'd want to play for a contending team in the KHL.

He mentioned that he expects to make a decision in "mid-September," once it's known if a lockout actually goes down.
