Abdelkader, Quincey still negotiating deals
TheFourthPeriod.com

The Red Wings remain in contract negotiations with restricted free agents Justin Abdelkader and Kyle Quincey, the Detroit Free Press reports.

Quincey opted for arbitration and has a hearing scheduled for July 25, though the two sides could reach an agreement prior to that date.

A source close to the situation told TFP a deal should be reached within the next week.

Abdelkader, meanwhile, elected not to file for arbitration, as the Free Press reports contract talks are moving well.

According to the paper, Abdelkader should earn in the neighborhood of $1.25 million, per year, on a new contract, though it's unclear what Quincey will pull in.

Quincey just wrapped up a two-year, $6.25 million deal, where he earned $3.25 million last season.
