The Detroit Red Wings have signed unrestricted free agent goalie Jonas Gustavsson to a two-year, $3 million contract.
Gustavsson, 27, posted a 17-17-4 record with the Toronto Maple Leafs this past season, along with a 2.92 goals-against-average and a .902 save percentage.
The native of Danderyd, Sweden, was traded to the Winnipeg Jets in late-June, but was unable to come to terms with a deal with the Jets, making him a UFA.
Over 109 games, all with the Leafs, Gustavsson has posted a career 39-45-15 record with a .298 GAA and a .900 save percentage.
