All four players are potential unrestricted free agents, while Lidstrom and Holmstrom are both considering retirement and aren't close to making a final decision.
Meanwhile, Stuart has expressed the desire to play on the west coast, to be closer to his family, and is expected to give Holland an answer before the NHL Draft on June 22.
As for Hudler, there have been some talks with his agent, but Holland is awaiting further discussions.
Holland does not expect much activity until the organizational meetings take place at the beginning on June.
"I'd like to get to June 2," Holland told the News. "Get all of our scouts, get Jim Nill (Assistant GM), Jimmy Devellano (Executive VP), (coach) Mike Babcock, Ryan Martin (Assistant GM), get all of them into the room and talk about how we make our team get better."
