TheFourthPeriod.com

Red Wings forward Henrik Zetterberg is expected to be out of the lineup with a lower-body injury for Friday night's game against the Nashville Predators, the Detroit News reports.

The 31-year-old reportedly sustained the injury on Wednesday in the first period of the record-setting game against the visiting Dallas Stars.

Although Zetterberg finished the contest and did not appear to be bother by any ailment, Red Wings coach Mike Babcock announced that he would be sidelined for Friday's game.

"We'll go day-to-day," Babcock told the News. "I don't think it's the end of the world here. He's playing really well."

In 58 games with the Wings this season, Zetterberg has posted 12 goals and 32 assists for 44 points.

Meanwhile, forward Danny Cleary mentioned that the cysts on the back of one of his knees were drained for a second time on Tuesday. He has been placed on injured reserve, retroactive to Feb. 8, though he started to practice.
