Wings want McCarty, Downey back

  With the addition of Marian Hossa, the Red Wings roster is more or less set for the 2008-09 season, reports the Detroit News.

Red Wings GM Ken Holland wants to add one more forward, but he'd preferably like to sign a player to a two-way contract.

Holland confirmed that he's offered Darren McCarty a two-way contract and will likely do so to Aaron Downey.

"I'd like to sign a forward, but more of a two-way (contract)," Holland told the News.

   
"I'm not sure if Downey or McCarty will buy into a two-way contract. We're looking for one more guy, but if we don't do anything, we feel good about our team."
