Red Wings sign goalie Conklin

The Detroit Red Wings have signed unrestricted free agent goalie Ty Conklin to a one-year, $750,000 contract.

Conklin, 32, posted a 18-8-5 record with the Pittsburgh Penguins last season, along with a 2.51 goals-against-average and a .923 save percentage.

Born in Anchorage, Alaska, Conklin has a career 48-32-4 record, and a 2.60 goals-against-average.
