Hasek to announce retirement TheFourthPeriod.com
After 15 seasons in the NHL, Detroit Red Wings goaltender Dominik Hasek is calling it a career.
According to TSN, Hasek is expected to announce his retirement on Monday at an 11am ET press conference at Joe Louis Arena.
Hasek, 43, posted a 27-10-3 record with the Wings this season, along with a 2.14 goals-against-average and a .902 save percentage.
The winner of six Vezina Trophies, Hasek won two Stanley Cups with the Wings.
In 735 career NHL games with the Chicago Blackhawks, Buffalo Sabres and Wings, Hasek has compiled a 389-223-95 record with a 2.20 goals-against-average, a .922 save percentage and 81 shutouts.
