Zetterberg wants to be Red Wing for life

  Forward Henrik Zetterberg wants to be a member of the Red Wings for the rest of his playing career, reports the Detroit News.

Zetterberg, 26, told Sports Express, the Swedish sports daily, if the Wings want to sign him to a long-term contract, he's ready.

"I'll sign a contract for the rest of my career," he said.

Zetterberg has two-years left on his current contract that will see him earn $2.7 million next season and $2.9 million in 2008-09.

   
According to the News, Red Wings GM Ken Holland expects to begin negotiations next summer.
